Dee's Modified Bandpass Set

Here are pictures of Dee Haynes set. The use of toroids aids in taming the signal from a local AM powerhouse station at 850 KHz. Notice that Dee uses Litz wire on his toroids.

Notice the vernier on the antenna capacitor. It used a CD and a rubber grommet to get a 15:1 reduction ratio.
